Why Are We Offering The
Public, Wholesale Prices On
Embroidered Polos?
Our parent company has been servicing the promotional needs of the business community for more than 28 years: corporate awards, promotional products, business gifts, embroidered and silk-screened apparel, interior signage, badges and much more. The reason we have lasted this long (or have been this successful) is our company has always been able to offer our clients quality products and services at competitively prices.
Let's face it, clients and prospects today are able to run searches and research prices, easier and faster than ever before. To compete, we need offer very competitive prices.
Here's the answer to our question: Why are we offering the public wholesale prices on embroidered polos and golf shirts? To get the best pricing from our apparel manufacturers and suppliers, we need to generate as much volume as possible. The more volume we sell, the better prices we receive, the lower prices we can offer our retail customers in our retail website:
www.awardsandadvertising.com.
So we have created this separate wholesale website, to offer companies very low prices on logo embroidered polo shirts to help keep our volume up and qualify us to receive more volume discounts from our suppliers. This site specializes in corporate polo shirts, uses keywords for business polo shirts and is positioned in major search engines to attract prospects looking for personalized polo shirts. It’s that simple. Then we can sell polos and golf shirts on our retail site for a more competitive price. Our retail site offers over 600 items, in categories from apparel, to awards, promotional products, business gifts, signage and more. It's impossible to adequately market a site like this online, with the limits of keyword marketing today.
We encourage you to take advantage of our wholesale prices. If you find better prices, just let us know and we will match any printed price that is lower than ours. We want to earn your business with savings and service!
TOP 10 FREQUENTLY ASKED PROSPECT QUESTIONS
ABOUT EMBROIDERY
- What is digitizing? Digitizing is the process of converting your logo, brand or image into stitches our embroidery machines can sew. It is a one-time charge, which we then keep in our system for when you need to more shirts embroidered later. Each digitizing is good for that size only. If your logo needs to be embroidered at a different size, it will need to be digitized again.
- How may stitches can you do? The shirts that we offer in this website, include one logo at one location. This logo can include up to 5,000 stitches. If there are more stitches in your logo, there may need to be an additional charge. But 5,000 stitches covers most of the logos we receive.
- If a thread sticks out of an embroidered logo, can it be cut off? Many times we get asked what happens if later you notice a thread has broken. Will the embroidery unravel? The answer is no. With embroidery, each stitch sewn on top is locked by a stitch underneath. So if you see a thread break, feel free to trim it off, carefully not cutting the other threads.
- How can we care for embroidered apparel? To keep your embroidered shirts, caps, jackets, or other apparel items for a long time looking their best, we have a couple of things to recommend. First, embroidery does not like heat in a washer or dryer for a couple reasons. The thread we use can actually shrink and if too much tension is put on thread, it will break. The other reason is if the shirt itself shrinks and the embroidery does not, you will notice some bunching of the fabric around the logo. So we recommend that you wash your embroidered apparel in warm or cold water, NOT HOT. Secondly, embroidery does not like bleach. It will fade the color of the thread. Also, turn your garment inside out when washing.
- Regarding artwork, what does embroidery find hard to do? That's an easy question. Embroidery does not like THIN LINES, SHADING OR TONES AND SMALL TYPE. Regarding thin lines, we suggest lines being 6 point or thicker. Sometimes a font with thin lines may need to be changed or beefed-up. Shading and tones often created in Photoshop of other art program simply do not embroider. The image should be solid line art. And lastly, type smaller than 3/8" does not embroider because the area inside of the letters are too small to hold. Type should also be all caps, unless the type is approximately 1" tall or larger.
- Will my logo look different than on our brochure or letterhead? Probably. It is very common for a logo that is normally printed, to need to be modified when embroidered. Sometimes lines need to be thickened. Type may need to be larger or a different font. Upper and lower case letters may need to become all caps, shades and tones may need to be changed to solid line art and more. We try our best to maintain the integrity of the logo, but we need to make sure the final product comes out the best it can. This is very typical.
- Is a multi-color embroidered logo more expensive than one color? No. Because we are dealing with stitches, the number of thread colors we use makes no difference. However, we hold the number of colors on each logo to 8 different color threads.
- How long does production take? This largely depends on how long it takes us to bring your shirts in (incoming shipping from the manufacturer). We are fortunate that our company has 3 major apparel distributors within 10 miles of our office which enables us to get most apparel items pretty quickly. But specialty sizes may need to still come from the mills which are back East. In answer to the initial question, depending on the quantity, we can produce most orders as quick as one week or two weeks. (or faster if necessary). Just let us know what you need and we will do our best to meet your deadline or event. This time is for production. Shipping will take additional time. However we can bring in your items UPS ground, 3-day, 2-day or next day upon your request.
- Can we see our embroidered logo before it's on our shirts? Certainly, if you request, we can do a sew-out of the digitizing onto a swatch and send it to you or have you drop by our showrooms in North Orange County to preview. There will be a cost involved, as well as shipping costs if you want us to send it to you. UPS comes by our facility twice a day.
- What is your guarantee? If you're not happy, we are not happy. Unfortunately after we embroider a garment, it is not useable for anyone else. So we offer a variety of options for you to see, before you buy. 1. Ask for a sew-out before we start the production run, 2. Ask to see one finished sample shirt, complete with the embroidered logo. While both of these options add time to the production process (a week or so), it's better than receiving shirts you do not like.
